Welcome to Cliffside Base Camp

Located in the Appalachian Mountains, Cliffside is an 8-acre property perched on a 1,182‘ limestone ridge and bordered by Daniel Boone National Forest. Cave Run Lake and the Licking River are just 2 miles down the road. The village of Morehead (pop. 6,897) is 10 miles away and home to Morehead State College.

The Red River Gorge is a unique, scenic natural area that attracts thousands of visitors each year. Spectacular rock features, including sandstone arches and towering cliffs, are just part of the attraction. Outdoor enthusiasts come to the gorge year-round to enjoy hiking, camping, canoeing, wildlife viewing and other recreation opportunities.

Why Cliffside?

I am a disabled military veteran who suffers from PTSD.  I bought this land in 2018 and have been clearing and improving it ever since.  The peace and serenity here help me cope with anxiety and depression. I hope it will be a blessing to you too.

Purpose

To provide small groups of people (families, youth groups, veteran, pastors, and others) a chance to get away, rest, relax and recharge spiritually.  All services are by appointment only,
